In Owlets Class we have our very own ‘Performing Poetry Project’.
Throughout the week, we learn the poem by heart and practise some actions to help us perform it. We are working on developing our expressions and tone of voice to put on a real performance and share our poems from memory. We also work on building our vocabulary by talking about new words which we come across in our poems.
A copy of the poem that we are learning each week will be uploaded to Class Dojo so that the children can practise it at home too.
Our poetry sessions prove to be really popular, and the children thoroughly enjoy learning a new poem each week. We are watch back our performances and see how we can improve next time.
