Hall Display Art Work
Flamingos have been busy creating our deer for the display board in the hall. We chose Wassily Kandinsky as the artist to inspire our work.
Wassily Kandinsky was born in Russia, in 1866. He thought a lot about what colours mean and how they make people feel. He believed that colours had a soul. He was the first painter to stop painting pictures of things and instead paint just using colours and shapes. He believed that this let him paint honestly about his feelings.
We decided to recreate Kandinsky's "Squares with Concentric Circles".
We think our Kan-deer-sky deer looks amazing, and we can't wait to see it leaping across the hall display with all the other classes' work.
