Welcome to the Finches' page for Autumn Two.
Welcome to Autumn Two! We had a lot of fun last half-term with all of our learning and are looking to build upon the great progress we have made this half-term.
English: we are using the texts Percy Jackson and the Lightening Thief and Shakespeare's The Tempest to inspire us in our writing.
Maths: We are doing Multiplication and Division and then moving on to Fractions.
Science: is all about properties of materials, so we will be finding out about thermo-insulators, solvents and lots more.
French: is all about becoming confident when speaking about the Planets and Space.
Geography: we are going around the world and looking at where mountains are located and how they were formed.
History: we will be learning about the Early British Empire and why it was formed.
RE: will be about the Christmas story, and we will be looking at the different versions of it and comparing them.
DT: is designing, building and evaluating our own cam toys.
Life Skills: is taking a look at what healthy relationships look like and thinking about the connections we have both in our physical lives and online.
PE: is Football and OAA and wherever possible, we will be outside for both of these.
Behaviours for Learning: this half term is all about friendships; looking at what makes a good friend, how sometimes conflict is a part of friendship and how we can respectfully resolve our differences.
